Josh Palacios is on the Pirates’ roster because he was swinging a hot bat in Class AAA Indianapolis, and the Pirates’ sputtering offense needed a jolt. However, since his contract was selected, we have yet to see him wield that same bat with the Pirates. In fact, one might wonder if somebody is playing some sort of cruel joke and hid that bat before he made the trip to Pittsburgh.
